I recently had a wonderful stay at The Swallows - 28835 in Royal Wootton Bassett. The location was perfect, just off the M4 and yet it felt like we were in the middle of the country. The cottage/gite itself was clean and spacious, and the owner even left a bottle of milk and supplies for our arrival. The settee was comfortable and we enjoyed family dining at the dining room table & chairs. The private outdoor space was a lovely addition, especially because we had our dog with us. The owner was also very friendly and helpful when we needed assistance. I had a great experience and would definitely recommend this hotel.
Although our stay was fantastic, there were a couple of drawbacks. The main TV's DVD player was a bit temperamental, which was a minor inconvenience.

Stayed at The Swallows for a weekend getaway. The property exceeded expectations with its spaciousness and the host's thoughtful additions, such as a selection of DVDs and a pint of milk in the fridge. Accessing the property was a breeze despite our late check-in and early departure. The location is a perfect blend of being just off the M4 yet surrounded by countryside. The hosts were friendly and the presence of horses added to the charm. The accommodation was clean, well-equipped, and had a lovely private outdoor space.
Would be happy to recommend this hotel.

Mind-blowing location just off the M4, but feels like pure country bliss! Super friendly and helpful staff, with lots of beautiful horses to greet. The cottage itself is spacious, clean, and well-equipped, with a comfy settee and a great dining area. The private outdoor space is perfect for our dog, and the decor is simply jaw-dropping. Ample parking for visitors, and the owner even left a lovely selection of DVDs and a pint of milk in the fridge. Plus, the seamless check-in and check-out made everything super easy.

The property was well-equipped with a private entrance and a washing machine. The free parking was handy. I loved the bottle of milk left for me.
Just a small request, it would have been nice if the duvet cover and pillow cases were already on when I arrived. So inconvenient.

The room at The Swallows - 28835 was fantastic! The private bathroom was amazing, with a big, luxurious bath that made me feel like a movie star. I loved relaxing in there after a long day of karaoke and casino fun. It was just what I needed to unwind and recharge.
The only thing that wasn't my cup of tea was the karaoke machine in the common area. Personally, I'm not a fan of singing in front of others, but I know some people love it.

Title: Lovely cottage, excellent facilities, but could use some new mattresses.
Who needs a good night's sleep anyway? The main bed and sofa bed were about as comfortable as sleeping on a rock.
